The PB137 allows, with an external circuit of 2 capacitors, to charge 12 V lead batteries up to a charging current of 1.5 A. The regulator has internal current limiting, thermal overload protection as well as safety shutdown and is almost indestructible. A heat sink must be used during operation (thermal resistance: 53 K/W).
