These Sunon DC fans are fitted with an additional auto restart. The auto restart is made from a Sunon developed IC. The IC controls the start up and switches the engine off for a short time under adverse conditions, for example locked rotors. Periodically the IC allows the motor to start again until it resets itself normally. If the rotor locks due to contaminant deposits this can be repaired automatically by the auto restart function. This circuit also reliably prevents an excessive heating up of the engine coils in the event of damage.
