Characteristics• MK_ series sensors are magnetically operated reed proximity switches. The actuating magnet as a counterpart is preferably fixed in the movable device part.
• Reed switch and permanent magnet must be at a certain distance from each other. Approach or removal of the magnet determine the closing or opening of the contact.
• The magnetic pickup / drop sensitivity of the contacts is divided into different AW classes.
• The contact consists of ferromagnetic contact tongues, which are sealed gastight inside a glass tube.
• The ends overlap in parallel to form an air gap.
• Under the influence of a magnetic field, the contact paddles assume opposite polarity and close with sufficient force.
